Gannat
Musée Yves Machelon
The Yves Machelon Municipal Museum is located in an old fortified castle that was used as a prison till 1967. It was then that the town, during the mayoralty of Yves Machelon, purchased the buildings and converted them into a center for Gannatois heritage.
It recounts the history of the castle, especially when it was used to detain dissenters under the Vichy regime.
