Grenoble

Musée des troupes de montagne

Part of the historic Bastille in Grenoble, the Mountain Troops museum was founded in 1988, on the occasion of the centennial of Alpine troops.

The public is plunged into the history of mountain soldiers from the beginnings up to today. The history of these elite troops comes to visitors in dioramas that set off the daily lives of the soldiers in the two world wars.
