The Memory Site, unique in Europe, opened in 2013, dedicated to the history and memory of the Righteous Among Nations, and the Resistances during World War II.
Le Chambon-sur-Lignon and other villages of the Plateau between Haute-Loire and Ardèche, heirs of a Protestant tradition and a habit of hospitality, came to the aid of numerous refugees, often Jewish.
In 1990, Yad Vashem bestowed the title of Righteous Among the Nations upon Le Chambon-sur-Lignon and the neighboring towns.

Recurring events
Education service: various pedagogical opportunities (visits, teaching workshops, class activities, etc.) for different age groups. Specific teaching projects for particular schools. Yearly cultural programming, including national events (European Heritage Days, Long Night of Museums) lectures related to the permanent and temporary exhibits, shows (plays, concerts, etc.), book presentations, film projections, talks by witnesses, etc.

The Memory Site puts on temporary exhibits, lectures, shows and in-person contacts, and has an Educational Service for school pupils, with activities adapted to various levels, providing an opportunity to to see the period from the point of view of the involvement of the Righteous Among the Nations.
