The 16-meter-tall monument is a stylized representation of the outline of the département. The names of resistants and deported persons are provided. It overlooks the Rhône valley is visible from national highway 7 and motorway A7, at the Montélimar-Nord interchange. New names of resistants and deported persons have been found since the monument was inaugurated.
