Plaque commémorative
Plaque on the Molle hill in le Chambon sur Lignon, dedicated to Doctor Roger Le Forestier who began actively protecting refugees right from 1940. He became a maquis doctor, and was finally arrested and was one of the 120 resistants massacred at Saint Genis Laval on August 20, 1944, on the orders of Klaus Barbie. The plaque was inaugurated in August 2004, the sixtieth anniversary of the Liberation.
