Stèle commémorative

Stone marker beside Chantoiseau Road, in front of the house of Charles Guillon, a resistant and mayor of the village. The marker also commemorates André Philip, an SFIO (predecessor of the Socialist party) member of Parlement, who refused to vote all power to Pétain and who went to London to join de Gaulle in 1942. His wife Mireille Philip stayed in le Chambon and worked energetically for refugees.
