Echallon
Monument commémoratif
Monument to Allied air forces in the prairie of Echallon. It pays homage to victims of the war as well as to the aid the Allies brought by air to the maquis of Ain and Haut-Jura in 1943 and 44. A plaque recalls the assistance provided to escaping Canadian pilots by the Resistance and inhabitants of the region.
