Saint-Didier-de-Formans
Monument commémoratif
Monument to the memory of 30 prisoners from Fort Montluc prison in Lyon, including the historian Marc Bloch, who were brought to Roussilles to be executed on June 16, 1944. Two of them escaped death: Jean Crespo, who died in Marseille on April 17, 1948 from his injuries, and Charles Perrin, who died on March 10, 1975 in Villeurbanne. The massacre was reprisal against the Resistance on the very spot where on June 11, they had blocked a German convoy by laying tree trunks across the road.
