Plaque commémorative

Plaque in memory of Louis Mallet and his two sons, executed in June 1944. Dr Mallet joined the "Combat" group from Clermont-Ferrand in 1941. when he felt threatened by a French milice report, he took refuge with the maquis at Mont-Mouchet in the spring of 1944, and treated the wounded. His son Pierre was shot down on June 14, 1944 with 24 compagnons, at Soubizergues. Dr Mallet and his other son, Etienne, were executed on June 23.
