Clermont-Ferrand
Plaque commémorative
Plaque in memory of Jean Zay in the town hall in Clermot-Ferrand, where he was tried and convicted by the Vichy government on October 4, 1941, in a mockery of a legal trial, together with Pierre Mendès-France. Mendès-France survived the trail, but not Zay, who was executed in an abandoned quarry in Allier on June 20, 1944.
