Plaque commémorative
Plaque in memory of Pierre Baizet. A liaison agent during the war, he was arrested in Avignon in 1944 with members of a network made up of employees of a pharaceutical laboratory created by Roger Bellon. He was imprisoned and tortured in Avignon, then in Marseille and finally at Montluc in Lyon. He was executed by firing squad at the firing range of the military camp at La Doua in Villeurbanne on May 15, 1944. A playing field in Avignon now bears his name.
This plaque is no longer visible.
