Plaque commémorative
Plaque in memory of Jean-Marie Frénéat and Marcel Sarrasin, who worked in the United Youth Forces. In their mechanical weaving shop at 32 rue Burdeau, they had a weapons and clandestine newspaper depot and lodgings for traveling agents. To escape from the Gestapo, Jean-Marie Frénéat jumped out the window of the shop. Marcel Sarrasin was murdered in Saint-Genis-Laval on August 20, 1944.
