Monument commémoratif
The monument in honor of Joseph Serlin is a bust on a base, erected on the initiative of a committee founded by Edouard Herriot, who had worked with Serlin. Serlin had been the secretary general of the the Lyon City Hall and Senator. He voted in favor of handing all power over to Marshal Pétain, then joined the Resistance. In particular, he gave ration cards to youths that refused to comply with the Obligatory Work system. He was murdered by the Gestapo in 1944.
