Plaque in homage to Jeanine Sontag, a liaison agent in the Marcel Descour team of the Secret Army from the end of 1943. In May 1944, she joined the Immigrant Labor movement as a member of the Carmagnole Battalion. On July 3 1944, she was with her detachment in the raid on the Gambetta garage in the Avenue Félix Faure, which worked for the Wehrmacht. The operation destroyed a large number of vehicles, but then went awry. The squad had to climb up onto the roof.
