Plaques commémoratives

Two plaques at the entrance to the National Memorial at Montluc recall that nearly 10,000 people, both French or foreign, were incarcerated here under the Occupation. Many prisoners were brought here before being interrogated or tortured at Gestapo Headquarters in avenue Berthelot or place Bellecour. Others awaited execution or deportation.
