Plaque commémorative
Plaque in memory of Julien Solonczyk and Pierre Katz, both members of FTPF (Franc-Tireurs et Partisans - one of several resistance organizations) and MOI (Main-d’œuvre immigrée - Immigrant Laborers) and also the Jewish Youth Union. After a comrade was wounded and turned in by a security guard at the Grange-Blanche hospital, Julien Solonczyk was admitted to the hospital and shot a few days later by Frenchmen at the Fort de la Duchère. Pierre Katz was killed in a face-off with the police on June 1, 1944, after being reported by an informer.
