Plaque commémorative
Plaque in homage to Laurent Girard. From the time he was recruited into the Resistance, he worked as an agent of the General Delegation, in charge of mail. With Hugues Limonti and Joseph van Diévort, he was responsible for transporting people and archives and then for sending equipment necessary for the Paris Office. When the Organization left for Paris, he was the courier for Tony de Graaf in Lyon. He was arrested with some dozen comrades, including Georges Archimbaud and Francis Rapp, incarcerated at the Fresnes prison outside Paris, and deported to Buchenwald and then Dora. He died shortly after the camps were liberated.
