Plaque commémorative

Plaque put up by the Human Rights League on March 12, 1999 in homage to Victor Basch inside the school named after him. A Dreyfusard, member and then President of the Human Rights League from 1926 to 1944 and close to Jean Jaurès, Basch was hunted by the Vichy regime. He and his wife Hélène were shot down by the Milice on January 10, 1944 in Neyron (Ain).
