Plaque in memory of Dr Jean Long, who was killed here. During the war, Dr Long joined the Coq Enchaîné network, and distributed leaflets, put together sabotage teams, engaged in military intelligence by spying on war materiel factories, cared for wounded resistants and produced false identity papers for Jews. During his emprisonment at Montluc, he did not talk under torture. He was executed in Feyzin by the Milice on October 23, 1943.
