Stele in memory of Henri Bidal, who died on June 12, 1944 during a military operation. This mason from Saint-Jean-le-Vieux joined the Resistance by integrating the A.S (Armée Secrète - "Secret Army") of Ambronay in the Florent company. He was killed, most likely by mistake, by the FFI (Force Française de l'intérieur - "French Forces of the Interior" - French resistance fighters in the later stages of World War II) while crossing the Ain river.
