A painting showing a horseman in white, to the right of the entrance to the Balmes church near Romans sur Isère. The story of the Horseman in White is linked to the evolution of religious and mystical currents in the region at the beginning of the war. In Romans, a small mystical community gathered around Father Collin, who called himself the Priest of Infinite Love and who took refuge in Drome starting in 1942. His faithful and he himself stood behind Léon Millet, the horseman in white of royal blood, destined to be the Great King, according to him.
