A long administrative procedure led to the withdrawal of the distinction of emprisoned resistant, as "it was an administrative internment as a security measure" in the view of the court, which ruled on the basis of a law of 1939 that provided for the repression of communist activists. The local Communist Party and Veterans' Associations campaigned against the decision. The nursery school in Saint-Germain-des-Fossés has borne the name of Suzanne Terret since the city council ordinance of October 13 1954.
