On December 2, 2014, a cutting from the chestnut tree in Amsterdam mentioned in Anne Frank's diary was planted on the place Marc Aron. The tree had become diseased, and the Anne Frank Foundation made cuttings to give to associations and cities around the world; Lyon was one.
