Bouvante

Monument commémoratif

Stone marker on departemental route 76 coming down from Chau pass. It was set up in memory of the fighters who were shot or died in the fighting from July 22 to 31, 1944, in the Lente sector. It is here that the Red Cross brought together the bodies of the dead on the Plateau so that the families could come and get them. The plaque lists the names of 24 martyrs and two unknown fighters.
