Statue of General Brosset, who joined General de Gaulle right from the Appeal of June 18, 1940, for which he was sentenced to death in absentia by the tribunal of Gannat, and his belongings confiscated. He fought in the Middle East and in Italy before he landed in Provence on August 16, 1944, and participated in the capture of Toulon and Hyères. At the head of o the First Armored Division of the FFL (Forces Françaises Libres - Free French Forces), he was ordered to Lyon to support the offensive by the FFI (French Interior Forces).
