Château-Musée de Désaignes

The Desaignes Castle-Museum is located in a fifteenth century building with an honor court, mullion windows, a striking spiral stair-case, etc.

It houses a museum of rural life, with one room devoted to the history of the Second World War, that explains the general framework of the conflict and touches on the actions of the Resistance in and around Desaignes, with emphasis on the 25th Company. The exhibit also addresses remembrance times, commemorations, Righteous Among the Nations medals awarded in the area and reconstructing peace in Europe.

The museum organizes temporary exhibits, some of which touch upon local history during the period.
